Voices of Resilience: A Human Library on Youth Mental Health

  • The Hive Poho, 5-13 New Street, Sai Ying Pun (Exit A1) (map)

A Human Library is a unique space where individuals share their stories in conversational exchanges, challenging stereotypes and fostering understanding.

Each "human book" will begin by introducing themselves for two minutes. After their introduction, they will take a seat at a designated table. Throughout the evening, participants (or "readers") will have the opportunity to visit each human book to learn more about their unique stories.

Each reader will spend fifteen minutes with one human book before rotating to speak with the next. This will continue until all readers have had a chance to engage with each of the four human books.

We will conclude the evening with a sharing and feedback session, where both human books and readers can reflect on their experiences and insights gained throughout the event.

Through dialogues with participants, attendees are encouraged to understand that one should never "judge a book by its cover."
